Binh Dinh participates in Ho Chi Minh City International Travel Fair - ITE HCMC 2024

On the morning of September 5, 2024, the 18th Ho Chi Minh City International Travel Expo (ITE HCMC 2024) officially opened at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) (District 7 - Ho Chi Minh City) with the theme "Sustainable Tourism - Creating the Future" organized by the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City in coordination with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. This is one of the most important and prestigious tourism trade forums in Vietnam and in the region, contributing to promoting the image of Vietnam's tourist destinations to international friends.

Overview of the Opening Ceremony of ITE HCMC 2024

Attending the opening ceremony were comrades: Truong My Hoa, former member of the Party Central Committee, former Vice President; Nguyen Van Hung, member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Phan Van Mai, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee; many central leaders and leaders from countries such as Japan, Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, Cambodia... In particular, there were more than 3,500 delegates from 45 provinces and cities of Vietnam and 31 countries and territories around the world.
ITE HCMC 2024 takes place from September 5-7, 2024 with the participation of more than 400 units and brands, including more than 370 domestic units and 33 units from foreign countries registered to participate. Including the participation of tourism promotion agencies of countries such as Laos, Malaysia, Japan, India, Taiwan, Thailand, Cambodia, ...; tourism promotion agencies of foreign destinations such as Saint Petersburg (Russian Federation), Seoul (Korea).
ITE HCMC 2024 is the only international tourism event in Vietnam with an International Buyers program, providing opportunities for international tourism businesses to expand their markets and seek tourism partners in Vietnam and the lower Mekong region. This year's fair has expanded in scale and quality, attracting the participation of many big names in tourism in the world such as: Flight Center Travel Group (Australia), Intrepid Travel (Australia), Collette, Exim Tour under DERTour Group and many international travel businesses, MICE tourism companies, resort tourism, luxury tourism. After consulting with leading Vietnamese aviation and tourism businesses, ITE HCMC 2024 has selected and invited 200 international buyers from 33 countries and territories that are key and potential inbound tourism markets of Vietnam tourism (including: USA, Australia, New Zealand, China, Korea, Taiwan (China), Singapore, Thailand, Philippines, Cambodia, Malaysia, Germany, UK, France, Portugal, Poland, Hungary, Bulgaria, Belgium, Austria Croatia, Romania, Armenia, Russia, India, Turkey, South Africa and Gulf countries (Kuwait, UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia). The fair also received the attention and support of more than 50 domestic media partners and 40 international press agencies and KOLs from 8 countries: USA, Australia, Spain, Portugal, China, Turkey, Philippines, Malaysia. Thereby, the fair is expected to open more than 10,000 commercial appointments between buyers and exhibitors.
The event is expected to be a symbol of the resilience, strength and creativity of the Vietnamese tourism industry in a period of unprecedented turmoil and difficulty for the global tourism industry. At this year's ITE HCMC 2024, many major forums and seminars took place, such as: High-level Tourism Forum with the theme "Green transformation, Net Zero tourism - Creating the future" chaired by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City; Seminar on empowering local communities through sustainable tourism; Seminar on applying AI in international communication and sustainable tourism; Seminar on database and criteria for practicing Net Zero tourism; Seminar on orientation to promote sustainable tourism development through ESG; International seminar on promoting responsible tourism associated with protecting wildlife and saying no to ivory; Seminar on the power of communication in building and promoting sustainable development; Seminar on discovering India: Connecting cuisine and culture; Vietnam Night; Vibrant Ho Chi Minh City; Cambodia Night (TBC); Welcome Ceremony and Destination Survey Program for international buyers and press….
Participating in this Fair, Binh Dinh Department of Tourism has deployed promotional activities of the program, in which the main activity is to display booths at the Ho Chi Minh City International Tourism Fair - ITE HCMC 2024 with the theme " Quy Nhon - Binh Dinh - Sea Paradise " to promote the brand, promote the image of Quy Nhon - Binh Dinh tourism to tourism businesses, domestic and foreign investors, and at the same time seek partners to develop and connect tours to attract more and more visitors to Quy Nhon - Binh Dinh. In addition to the role of the Department of Tourism as the focal point and host, this year's Fair has the participation of Binh Dinh tourism businesses: Hoang Dat Trading and Tourism Joint Stock Company (Ky Co), Nam Viet Real Estate Joint Stock Company (Fleur de Lys), Maia Quy Nhon Beach Resort Joint Stock Company (Maia Resort), Golden Life International Travel Company Limited, Branch of Construction Joint Stock Company 47 (Hai Au Hotel).
Visiting Binh Dinh's booth, tourists are introduced to tourism products at preferential stimulus prices, through images, publications, local specialties and are consulted by tourism businesses about typical and attractive tour services.
 

ITE HCMC 2024 with the theme "Sustainable Tourism - Creating the Future" continues to affirm the attractiveness of a prestigious international tourism trade event in the Lower Mekong region, a practical activity for businesses to unite, share, and build attractive stimulus products, attracting a large number of domestic and foreign tourism units and businesses, thereby helping the tourism industry accelerate and break through in a period of unprecedented volatility and difficulty for the global tourism industry.
