Today's event also responds to the "Ho Chi Minh City and Mekong Delta Tourism and Trade Week in Can Tho City" with more than 10 special tourism events and more than 150 tourism promotion booths of Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho, 13 provinces of the Mekong Delta, provinces and cities across the country and Consulates General of several countries in Ho Chi Minh City participating.
Attending the opening ceremony were Mr./Ms. Tran Van Thanh - Director of Binh Dinh Department of Tourism; Nguyen Minh Tuan - Director of Can Tho Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Bui Thi Ngoc Hieu - Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism; Tran Van Tot - Deputy Head of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ninh Kieu District People's Committee; Vu Chan Hung - Chairman of Can Tho City Tourism Association. Especially, there were more than 200 Binh Dinh Tourguide tour guides... and reporters, newspapers and radio stations attending and reporting.
This is an activity to implement the agreement on tourism promotion and development between the Department of Tourism/Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the provinces and cities: Ho Chi Minh, Binh Dinh, Can Tho and the provinces of the Mekong Delta, to promote propaganda, develop inter-regional products, connect to attract visitors and promote the image of Quy Nhon - Binh Dinh tourism to Can Tho tourists in particular, the provinces of the Mekong Delta in general and international tourists
Speaking at the Opening Ceremony, Mr. Tran Van Thanh, Director of Binh Dinh Department of Tourism said, “In recent years, Quy Nhon - Binh Dinh tourism has made a strong breakthrough, ranked in the strong growth group of Vietnam's tourism industry and is one of three tourist cities in Vietnam to receive the 2nd ASEAN Clean Tourist City Award in 2024 - 2026 at the Southeast Asia Tourism Forum 2024; Quy Nhon - Binh Dinh tourism has been continuously highly appreciated by international newspapers and magazines and gradually affirmed its name on the international tourism map. Traveller Magazine (Australia) shared with tourists about Quy Nhon, "this place will bring the true vibe of a small city with beautiful beaches that promise to become a major destination for sea tourism in Vietnam", and was voted by the world's leading travel sites such as the British travel magazine Rough Guides as "Southeast Asia's leading destination".
In 2024, Binh Dinh organized many outstanding events and activities on a large scale, of international stature, attracting a large number of officials, people and tourists to Binh Dinh to visit and enjoy, notably: Amazing Binh Dinh Fest 2024 Culture, Sports and Tourism Week with the highlight being the UIM F1H2O Motor Boat Race held for the first time in Vietnam, the 2024 International Teqball Tournament; Opening of the 2024 Summer Tourism Festival with the theme Quy Nhon - a sea paradise, shining and developing; The 2024 Sea Land Quintessence Festival; The program "Tourism, Cinema and Sports - Proud of Vietnamese identity" and Martial Arts performances;...
“In the coming time, Binh Dinh will continue to coordinate and organize special cultural, sports and tourism programs to attract tourists such as: Countdown Program for New Year 2025; UIM - APB F1H2O Motor Boat Race, the 2nd Binh Dinh Food Festival in 2025, International Motor Paragliding Race 2025; Opening of Summer Tourism 2025... At the same time, strengthen linkage activities, cooperation in developing inter-provincial and inter-regional tourism, especially in key markets..." Mr. Tran Van Thanh added.
